Blog Hop Featuring Chris Dark's New Garden Fairies Collection...

We are very excited to announce a guest artist in the Paperbabe Stamps family and to celebrate we are having a little blog hop...

The very talented Chris Dark has designed a collection of beautiful Garden Fairies Stamps, the Butterfly Catcher, Butterfly Emerges, Butterfly Fairy, and Musical fairy, they are a larger set and each includes a beautiful sentiment.

To add extra fun to our blog hop... we are offering up a prize!
of the whole garden fairies collection to one lucky winner.

Here are the details:
  • A winner will be chosen at RANDOM from any of the designer's blogs and the PaperbabeStamps Blog to win.
  • Just leave a comment on any of the designer's blogs listed below or the Paperbabe stamps blog for your chance to win! (you do not need to comment on all blogs to qualify but it increases your chances)
  • Deadline: You have until midnight on Sunday, 2nd April to leave a comment.
  • Please check the Paperbabe Stamps blog on Wednesday, 5th April to see if you are one of our lucky winners.

Here's a sample from me...

I chose the gorgeous Butterfly Emerges stamp for this block art.
I painted the block in acrylics first, then stamped the image in grey ink before painting in acrylics
I then restamped the image in black ink over my painting, this is a bit of a hit and miss exercise as I had to repaint her and attempted this three times lol... you can see in the detail piece that it's slightly off set but I kept with it.
I used the pretty blossom from the Musical Fairy set to add a trail of flowers to the adorable sentiment.

Today, we’ve enlisted some super talented designers to inspire you with ideas on how to use these beautiful new garden fairies! Hop along for lots of fun and inspiration!

Have fun on the HOP!
Enjoy a wonderfully creative day!

Paperbabe stamps will be back on Hochanda...

Good Morning

Here's a little sneak peek at a project I will be demoing on Hochanda tomorrow at my 7am show... well early start, you might have to tune in in your pj's or watch it online and/or catch up.

I wanted to edit this picture but the RED turns crazy digital, super contrast and not true to life... so here's my pic as I took it, a bit dull maybe.

I will also be demoing Day of the Dead and Profile templates... or what's left if the last show is anything to go by...
Tune in at 10am and 1pm for those.

Thanks for stopping by,
Enjoy a wonderfully creative day.

Peony & Bud as Photopolymer Clear Stamp Set

It has been tooo too long since I last posted here, so much has been going on behind the scenes and on the screen in fact, that I've been ignoring my blog terribly.

I hope today's post will lessen that with little introduction to the Peony & Bud stamp set.

Peony & Bud

This was previously released in red rubber and has been requested again quite a few times so it is now available in photopolymer clear... It is slightly larger, with the leaves separate for more stamping possibilities.

The Details:
  • Peony & Bud will be available to purchase on Fri 3rd March.
  • The set will retail for £9.00
  • Peony & Bud stamp set includes four individual stamps, the main flower, two leaves and a bud.

I have a couple of samples for you...

This is a mixed media portrait using the Peonies in the foreground, I was aiming for a soft colour palette but when it came to stamping the butterflies I think the whole look completely changed course, typical art flow.
The whole piece has been coloured using watercolours, I opted for the Long loose wave hairstyle, the head & torso and female face stamps all in mini.

This next card was a very quick card to assemble, I've used distress inks through my polka dot stencil
and stamped and heat embossed the peony in black embossing powder, for a fun and bright card.

Pop by the other designers to see their gorgeous peony projects.

I will update the blog again soon, with news on my next shows, challenges and new stamps.

Until then enjoy a wonderfully creative day!

Paperbabe Stamps Challenge #46 ~ Sketch!!!

This Fortnight we have a sketch challenge...

Use the sketch in any creative way that you want, flip it, turn it, be inspired by it. The flowers can represent any image and "paperbabe stamps" any sentiment.

Paperbabe Stamps Challenges are open to everyone...
As usual you are welcome to combine with other challenges too.

Please be sure to link your project below for a chance to win Paperbabe Stamps Gift worth up to £20*.

Now onto the team's fabulous interpretation...

Kim
Kim forgot to add the embellishment to her portrait card art. She used the Blunt Bangs Long mixed media templates along with the head and torso. Used the female face mini and the sentiment from Sparkle Bright. All coloured with copics and sparkles with posca paint pen.

Terri
Terri created her card using the Sparkle bright and Peaceful Flurries stamps sets, she used silver embossing powder to add an extra wintry feel. The large snowflake was embossed on to vellum and then fussy cut.

Chris
Chris used the Sparkle Bright and Peaceful Flurries stamp sets to make a Christmas card using a contemporary colour scheme of distress inks and metallic Distress Stain spray.

I will announce winners when I'm settled in my new place, as I am in the middle of packing my stock, laying new floor in my new studio and I have limited internet access. Thank you for your understanding during this time.

Enjoy a wonderfully creative weekend!
